Ok this may be a kinda dumb discussion but with me being pregnant all I can think about is food! What is your favorite kind of cake? I like those Strawberry Cascada Cakes mmmmmm making me hungry just thinking about it.

Try this one you will love it

This crumb cake makes a great coffee cake or snack cake.
INGREDIENTS:

* 2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
* 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* 1 cup evaporated milk
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans, divided
* 1 tablespoon butter

PREPARATION:
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in 1/2 cup butter with a pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse meal. Set aside 1 cup of the mixture for topping. Combine lemon juice with evaporated mil

Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake:


INGREDIENTS
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup melted butter

2 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
3/4 cup sour cream
3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
4 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly coat a 10-inch springform pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Combine the graham cracker crumbs with the cocoa powder and 1 cup sugar. Toss with melted butter. Press into the bottom and 1 to 2-inches up the sides of the prepared springform pan.
Bring 2 cups sugar and the water to a boil in a large, heavy-bottomed pot. Reduce heat to medium-low, and continue to cook without stirring until the mixture has turned a deep, golden color, 30 to 45 minutes. Remove from the heat, and carefully pour in the heavy cream (the mixture will bubble vigorously). Return the caramel to the stove over low heat, and stir until completely liquefied. Stir in the chocolate until melted, then stir in the sour cream. Remove from heat and set aside.
Beat the cream cheese until fluffy in an electric mixer. Add caramel mixture, and blend well, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally. Add eggs, one at a time, scraping the bowl after each addition. Add the vanilla with the last egg. Mix until well incorporated, then pour mixture into prepared pan.
Place pan into a hot water bath with the water coming half way up the sides of the springform pan. Bake in the center of the preheated oven until the center has set, about 1 hour 15 minutes. The cheesecake is done when the middle 3 or 4 inches are still a little wobbly. Chill completely before serving.

I love chocolate cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting, or chocolate fudge frosting. Mmmmmm with some strawberry ice cream on the side. When I make chocolate cake I use a cake mix according to the directions but add 1/4 cup of Mayonaise or Miracle whip. You can't taste it but it makes the cake so moist it's unbelievable. I have been doing it for 20+ years and everyone raves about how moist my cakes are. I have only tried it with chocolate, I don't know about other flavors.

Mine is The Watergate cake:
It is made with a white cake mix (18 1/4 ounce)
a can of 7up
1 cup of oil
3 eggs
3/4 cup coconut
3/4 cup walnuts or pecans
a box of pistachio pudding 3.4 ounce
mix eggs cake mix, 7up, oil, for about 4 min.
fold in coconut and nuts, pour into pan and bake
at 350 F for 45 min or untill top springs back when tapped lightly. Let cool.



Frosting:
Cool Whip 8 ounce
1 cup milk
Pistachip pudding 3.4 ounce
walnuts (optional
cup coconut (optional)
Mix pudding and milk till thick
Fold in Cool Whip and smooth over cooled cake
Sprinkle with nuts and coconut

I think that I like any kind of cake,but here in Portugal they make cakes very sweet,I miss the kind that I use too eat back in England :(
