Can finches like Zebras, Society and Spice be housed out side? I love them to death and want to get some for my birthday (Someone wants to purchase them for me) so before I get them I want to know if I can put them out side on my porch. I live in apartment, but the porch is huge and I am on the 3rd floor. It is protected on three sides and gets the south east sun. What do you think? I sooo want to breed them.

My borther use to keep his finches outside, but you have to be really careful about the weather. I deal tempatures for a finch is 60-70 degrees during the day and no lower than 40 degrees at night, so you may have to bring them inside at certian times of the year depending on how your climate is. Otherwise, it sounds like your porch would be great for finches. Just do a lot of research about what they need, how much their medical visits can cost and how close the nearest avian vet is prior to purchaing them. We just took our 2 lovebirds to the vet today for a check up, wing clip (first one they have had) and one vaccination and it cost $173 - more than it costs for our two cats! If they get sick, it is an easy $200 per bird.

parrots - these are the love birds
thats is really not difficult as far as i suppose! hive them a good sunny place and a spacious cage and the same old formula plz zzz donot change the location of the cage that often as it tends to disturb the birds badly!! so give them a cool diet and enough water and thats it!

Sorry, but I do not know anything about finches. I never had one of those before.
