Eragon: Did dragons really existed?

Recently I've watched Eragon and its quite a good movie. A dragon-rider's quest to battle evil and defeat darkness. Dragons and Men - together.
This made me think, did dragons really existed?

yaa its true that it was a nice movie.but the movies cannot be real.since they are mostly based on imagination..
