I read the DaVinci Code and really enjoyed it. But the movie was a disappointment because they changed things.
I have not read Angel & Demons yet. But I have been wanting to read it. But I want the special illustrated edition that shows everything he is referencing. It really helped with the DaVinci Code because I didn't have to stop and look up artwork pieces he was talking about. There were photos right in the book to view as one was reading.
But if they do make a movie of Angels & Demons, I will definitely have to red the book first. :) That's just the way I am. I like to see what the author's point of view and then the producer's point of view. They are not always the same.

I really was disappointed in the Da Vinci Code movie too. I just didn't think it trasfered as good. Angels & Demons had a very intersting story too. I do recommend it.

Actually hon, if you have The Da Vinci Code on DVD one of the 'previews' is actually a non-trailer announcement that it's already in production :) I can't wait to see this either. I hate to admit it, but I like Angels and Demons MORE than The DaVinci Code. I don't know why, they're both amazing books, but A&D captured my imagination more...maybe it was because of the actual pictures of the brands, I don't know. Anywho, just thought I'd share that little tidbit about the movie with ya!! B*B

I don't own The Da Vinci Code. When I seen it in the theatre I wasn't impressed with it. So I didn't buy it. I hadn't heard about the annoucement though. I think it's going to be a much better movie - or at least I hope so!

I really hope it comes out. I saw The Da Vinci Code and then read both books. I loved them. They were really good and Angels and Demons was a very good mystery going on. It kept me going almost to the end. I figured it out just a bit before he revealed it all but that I can accept. I hate the ones when I figure it out half way through the book. It's obvious Dan Brown really does his research. To find out all that information, to plot it all out and have it make sense...that takes skill. Hopefully if they do put it to the big screen they will do it justice.

I've read some of the books that were made into movies, not only the Da Vinci Code. And it's unfair to compare the book from the movie, since the movie has limitations in terms of time and accordance to the book.
I haven't yet had the time to read Angels and Demons, but I think the book is also one good story to read too because some of my friends have already read it. So I guess it's movie is also one good thing to wait and watch.

Its a book, that never made me think of anything else than the contents of the book and keep me in full concentration. Thats the skill of Dan brown to attract readers, and he din make it to accept his writings rather to enjoy reading, i believe thats Dan brown style.
