The tree is dead,has no limbs-looks like a phone pole. It's straight from the ground up for about 12 feet than it begins to lean towards my house. I know that when a strong storm blows,there is a better than good chance it will fall into my house. I need to cut it down a.s.a.p. I have a chain saw and want to do it myself. I know about making the cut on the side of the tree so it falls in that direction. I'm afraid though,since it is basically rotten near the base it may not fall that way. Any suggestions?
