2 firewalls is asking for trouble as you'll find your computer won't be very happy with you and may crash on a regular basis!
You didn't mention which firewall you are currently using - if it's just the standard windows one that does a good enough job if you have a good virus protector.

Really, one shouldn't be online without a good anti-virus. Firewall or no firewall, everyone MUST have a good anti-virus if they're running Winblows.

Ahhh... never run two firewalls at once (as I'm sure you've already learned). I listen to a computer guru every weekend (when I remember to) and he always recommends a hardware firewall (like a router). Really, that and using your Winblows firewall is actually good enough. And as a general rule, just be careful with what you do out there on the internet. Don't open attachments! Yes, it may LOOK like it's from a good friend, but unless you're EXPECTING it, it's always a good idea to NOT open it. Hope that helps!

Ummmm... Winblows Defender isn't a firewall. It's also not an anti-virus. It's an anti-spyware program. Yes, there is a difference.
