The strangest thing happened to me one time. I parked my car up close to the house,on the grass, because my husband would park in the driveway. One morning I went out to start the car and leave for work, and it wouldn't start. When we went to check under the hood, we found it not quite closed, and when we opened it up, the battery was gone! Can you imagine! Someone stole the battery right out of my car! I had never heard of such a thing! That gave me the creeps for quite awhile.

Someone broke into my house when I was a child and someone broke into my car in my driveway a few years ago as an adult. I think that prevention is my surest plan of action. When my car was broken into it was because the seatbelt had gotten stuck in the door and it didn't fully close, so I just take special care to be sure that the locks are reliable and are used properly.

I had my car broken into about 10 years ago, the car disappeared, I was surprised when I got to where I'd left it and it wasn't there. I had to check with one of my colleagues that I'd left it there. My plan, don't panic, call the Police, get the crime number, call the insurance company and then arrange the transport home.
No need to panic, unless you left valuable things in the car or something that identifies your home or your ID, after all its only an inanimate object, yes there may be some inconvenience but at the end of the day there are lots of people can't afford a car anyway.

Did they ever find your car? Did you insurance pay for a new one? Do you have a car alarm now that that has happened?+
