Never ending-unstoppable-unabated passionate dreams. It could be a god or religious answer you were expecting I would if I took it literally and was a study of religion, being outside the bubble I must say your question leaves more holes for wacky answers than a slab of Swiss cheese. But at least we get the point ;-) & points! I like it. Thanks for the excercise.

Excellent!! Got really impressed with the ideas you are correlating with the Rainbow! I ws just materialistic and practical while answeting the question, but I could never thought of this aspect of yours!! Your way of looking at life is relly great and will definitely inspire one to become optimistic in nature! Thanks! It was wonderful!

You got it, dear... thank you. That's all I wanted to read.. never-ending-unstoppable-unabated passionate dreams. I simply call it perseverance... for even in nowhere, you could possibly obtain what you want --- not necessarily gold but something so dear, so precious... Rainbow is an illusion, but it is a vision. To visualize something good, coupled with belief that there really is something beyond one's vision... that my dear would motivate somebody to go after a clear vision. I don't expect religious answer here... although all the responses have pointed out something worth pondering on. You deserve the best response.

I just responded to a discussion entitled Origin of the Rainbow and verses of the Holy Bible where God made his covenant to Noah were quoted. The rainbow is placed by God there to remind Him that He would no longer destroy His creation through flood as what happened where only 8 persons and those animals in the ark were saved.

There is no Pot of gold at the end of rainbow. I believe that rainbow is a promise sign of God that he will never bring a new Big Flood like noah's time.

With every rainbow, you have both rain nd sunshine. I have had so much of both in my life. Finally I met Bruce, had a grandson, we moved... my life has evened out and I have found my pot of gold---contentment.

Relly nothing. It may be perhaps said by one of our ancestors to add importance of existing beauty of Rainbow to the common man. Rain Bow in the sky is seen because of the phenomenon called as refraction, where by the colours of natural light are separated and they are visible to normal eye. This is due to the presence of water Vapour which acts in a similar way li9ke a prism acts when a normal light passes through it. There is no starting or ending part to it as it is circular in shape and we can only have vision of this circle up to the horizon, and this gives an illusion as if the erainbow is originating and ending at horizon. As you know there is no horizon in true sense and it is all imaginary one! Thus for me it is nothing more than a superstition or blind belief like people talk about the Gem stone on the hood of Cobra, which in India we call it as "Nag Mani". Similarly we also say that 'Paras Patthar' a stone does have the power to convert iron into Gold just by touching the iron with it! These things have been incorporated in the brains of people from generartions to generation, but no body have seen them so far! These are like miracles happening in fairy tales, very nice to hear but not possible to occur! Thanks for starting a nice discussion!

Rainbows always signify hope and a bright promise of the future which lift up the man's spirit. Beyond that hope is another much greater hope. They are bright hopes one after another. Rainbows and pots of gold are actually nothing and we all know that, living in a scientific world. It just a symbol of the human spirit not giving up and always see the bright side of life even to hope against hope.

HOPE... the only one left inside Pandora's Box when everything evil spread out in the world. There is HOPE in everything...Hope... the only endless thing in this life and beyond. Thanks to you. Let's keep hoping... dreaming... living.

So you are saying that the rainbow is a path full of struggles and the pot of gold represents the promising prize? Could be :) For the many colours of the rainbow may symbolize the different moods/emotions in life. Thanks...
