Which of the ST:TNG spinoffs or films is your favorite?  

I would have to agree with you, that First Contact has been the best film in the series. They covered many different aspects, including time-travel, and some of the best acting in the entire series took place on that ship when the Borg was threatening Captain Picard. "Blow up the damn ship." Great line!

Wow, I posted this same question a day or so ago. Sorry I didn't check to see that you had already done so. That's something I have to work on...checking to see if my subject is already being discussed. LoL! Anway, my favorite ST series is TNG. I'm rather partial to Voyager also. I haven't seen DS9 that much, but when I have watched it in the past, it didn't keep my attention as much as the other two. Enterprise just didn't do it for me either, although it was okay. The original series was terrific in its time, but a bit cheesy to most people these days, but I still love it!

I guess my favorite ST: TNG movie would have to be Nemesis. But I love them all.

I really liked the 4th Star Trek movie with the original crew: "The Voyage Home." I love storylines that deal with time travel. TNG had several episodes about time travel also.

Of the series, I have to disagree with you and say I enjoyed Enterprise the most. It did get a bit obssessed with relying on action and special effects to try and grab more viewers, but it was the only Trek series I had stuck with all the way through since TNG.
I get the feeling DS9 improved as it went along, so might have to go back and check that out sometime.

Of the films, First Contact is undoubtedly the best of the TNG ones. Nemesis tried so hard to be good, but the bad casting of the young Picard didn't help a story that was also a bit rough around the edges. Probably the best one for space battles though. Put it on your surround system and crank up the volume!

My favorite of the shows was definitely Deep Space Nine. I liked the darker, grittier edge to it that the stories had. TNG was great, especially after years without any original Trek except for the books and movies.

But I really liked DS9 because Sisko wasn't always "right". He wasn't always sure that he made the right decision, sometimes he took the lesser of two evils. He wasn't held up as the perfect Captain. He seemed the most human of them all.

I liked the diversity of the cast too. With more different races inhabiting the place it created a lot more fun and potential.

Of the movies, my favorite was First Contact. It had humor and action. I didn't like the Borg Queen because I thought it took away the whole point of the Borg collective, but I chose to overlook that!

First Contact was a very short movie, but there was a lot of action in it. Plus being that they were back in time, we actually saw exactly what started Earth being the United Federation of Planets.

I enjoyed Deep Space Nine also. At first, I did find it somewhat boring, but it really picked up when Michael Dorn joined the cast, & it constantly involved the Klingons. It was sort of sad to see Captain Sisko perish though, but it did answer the question of why his marriage to Cassidy Yates was going to bring misery.

I enjoyed Voyager, too, but not as much. I was disappointed with the ending, being that they only showed the USS Voyager arriving into the Alpha Quadrant to be greeted by a bunch of escort ships & then that was the end. I would have liked to have seen more, such as greetings between the Voyager personnel & the other Starfleet officers.

deep space nine was kind of slow i thought.
enterprise i didn't like at all..although they did go into explaining the first klingons a bit.

TV spin-off I'd have to go with Voyager, love seven of nine and B'ellana. As for the movies, I think your right First Contact was the best. Liked the story about the first warp flight of zefram cochrane, and ofcourse who doesn't love the borg queen.

I am not sure that I really have a favorite because I enjoyed all of them. I guess that if I had to pick one of them though it would have to be Deep Space Nine. Like I said though, I enjoyed all of them to much to really pick just one as a favorite.
