Getting out tangles |
| |
| My 2 year old has VERY fine, curly hair, and I've tried everything to try and keep it tangle free but nothing works. When he wakes up, it's all tangled and when I try to brush it.. he just shrieks at me cause it hurts. Any suggestions? | | | | | |

| | try the detangler that is made by Lorel. It comes in a spray bottle. Also use a big tooth comb. I know Avon sells a good one for like 3.00 and it works greta! Good luck. The detnagler works wonders and will dry quick and leave his hair nice. | | | | | | |

| | Have you tried Johnson and Johnson no more tears. I have the hair that is curly underneath and it works for me. Spray it on and then comb. | | | | | | |

| | I used to have the same problem with my daughter. I have found that using conditioner in her hair makes it easier to comb through. I do it when it is wet after washing and then make sure I brush it every day morning and night. If I don't do it then it is much harder to brush next time. She often fusses that it hurts still but its a lot better than it used to be. | | | | | | |

| | My son had this same problem when he was very young honestly the only solution we ever came up with that cost the least amount of money, took up the least amount of time, and caused the least crying was to cut it very short. Even now at 13 he has his hair cut almost to buzz length. It it just easier to style and handle. | | | | | | |

| | Speaking as a hairstylist. Make sure you always use conditioner. Keep some spray in detangler on hand as well. And if his hair tangles that easily maybe you should keep his hair on the shorter side. | | | | | | |

| | what i used to do was when i had real long hair that tangled easily was i washed it at night, brushed it out then put it up in a hair tie. then the next morning all i would have to do is rebrush it and put it back up, if i wanted it up. that helped alot! | | | | | | |

| | At two years old, he can have a shorter haircut. A two year old's hair style doesn't affect his self image at all. If his hair is very fine then it isn't really insulating him much, which is what hair is supposed to do, and I am sure youput a hat on him when you have to go out in cooler or cold weather. Using electic clippers probably isn't a good idea because most children are afraid of r loud noises at his age, so using scissors ever so carefully it the option you are left with. Since he is able to sit on his own, you can probably get him to sit long enough for you to give him something yummy to eat, then cut his hair. It may take several short sessions butyou can slowly get his hair short enough so there is not so much that it tangles. | | | | | | |
