Diploma courses in science technology chemistry for under graduates

Having carefully read about your programs May I apply for scholarship to anable parsue a Diploma course in science technology chemistry (DST/CHEM). i hold a science laboratory technicians certificates obtained at Uganda Polytechnic Kyambongo current Kyambongo University having completed senior secondary school certificate. I hope that I stand better opportunities to join higher institution thru mature entrance for a bachelor’s degree course. I am currently working with the Dept of Geological Survey and Mines as laboratory Attendant/technician in geochemical, assay and geothermal laboratories this is the 3rd year and previously I worked with agriculture research institute where also I did my industrial training after I completed the course for about one year, there after joined construction company. earlier when I completed my senior secondary school I worked as licensed teacher for primary school. My current responsibilities are as follows; KEEP LABORATORY TIDY LABORATORY APPARATUS AND INSTRUMENTS (EQUIPMENTS) MAINTAINACE , FIELD SAMPLING AND SPOT ANALYSIS OF VOLATILE CONSTITUENTS AND PHYSICAL PARAMETER MEASUREMEN LIKE CONDUCTIVITY, PH AND TEMPERATURE. SAMPLES PREPARATION AND ANALYSIS AND ALSO PREPARE SAMPLE FOR EXPORT TO FOREIGN LABORATORIES FOR ANALYSIS, INSTRUMENTS OPERATION ie IONCHROMATOGRAPHY, SPECTOPHOTOMETRE, PH, CONDUCTIVITY METERS etc. RESPOSIBLE FOR LABORATORY EQUIPMENT, CHEMICAL AND SAMPLE STORAGE. PREPARE INTERNAL LABORATORY REPORT ON CHEMICAL COMPOSITION ANALYSIS. HELP RESEARCH CHEMISTS IN RESEARCH. I have been studying pursuing diploma course in science technology chemistry at City and Guild Institute centre, which is located at Makerere University with interest to sit or be examined by British over sea examination Board. However I could not because of financial problem. I earn US dollars 540 only per year this includes Graduated tax by then. Education is very expensive on top of that the cost of living is very high this little money cannot help me in any way. We have discovered oil in our country in fact its from my home district I fill safe to get prepared for the stiff job competition working in such oil mining ring.
