Did Lust and passion give way to Love, in life and literature?

What do you observe? i see the modern literature has more on lust and passion rather than love. Gone are the days of pure and platonic love, the days of Shelly and Keats , of Oscar wild and Dickens .We are fast and practical now. Do you feel literature has a different role to play today to rejuvenate the values and character?
