do you clip coupons to save money?

wow, thats a lot of $ to save. I clip them, but then I usually forget about most of them.

I don't use many but I want to start, any suggestions for a begginer?

I love to save money!

I cut coupons and am always looking for a sale or discount. But, I'm not a cheap person. If there is a big item I need/want and I don't just go for the cheapest thing. I research and get the best for my money, even if that means spending more.
You should have seen all the research I did when buying a car. I wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my money.

Off the top of my head here are some ways I like to save money.
- Like I said, I cut coupons. We get the Sunday paper and I always go through it and cut coupons for things I would normally buy. That's the key. Don't cut coupons for things that you wouldn't buy otherwise.

- If I know ahead of time what I'm going to be buying, I'll look online for coupons as well. There are certain sites where they have grocery coupons or you can go to the actual company's site and a lot of times they have coupons as well. For example, Gerber, Tylenol, and Afrin all have coupons on their site that you can print out.

- I read the ads in the Sunday paper and it something is on sale (that I needed anyway) I'll make sure to go to that store to buy it.

- If I'm buying things online I try to search for a coupon code for the store to use during check out. Also, for online purchases I try to go through quick rewards, ebates, or bigcrumbs. If you go through those sites first you get a% cash back. It really makes it worth it and they deposit it right into your paypal account. Here are the links:

- I like to go to freebee sites and get samples and stuff. On www.vickysdeals.com there are lots of links to samples and coupons.

- If we are going to leave the house, I turn the air up or down (depending on summer/winter)

THat is a lot of money to save:) Great job. I do clip coupons when I find ones for products that I would normally use. Even then I make sure that the coupon saves me more then buying generic. I never could understand using a coupon just because you have it. It doesn't do you much good at saving money if you buy something you don't really use, now to try something new it can help yes but not something that will sit in your cupboard for months before you throw it out. I have no idea how much I've saved with coupons but I do use them when possible.

I regularly use coupons and cut out all the coupons, as the ones I don't use go to my friends. My area has a coupon group that meets and everyone brings their extra coupons. Its a great way to get more coupons for the products you use and talk about good shopping deals.
