In America "Knickers",I believe are short legged trousers for boys? In America "Pants", are what we in U.K. call trousers. Here in the U.K. both these words can cause a kind of smiley thought, because they conjour up pictures of intimate girly garments. Even though thongs and strings are so very popular, there is still no word, quite as naughty as.......Panties!! Yes, here in the U.K. we need three words for the same piece of intimate clothing, and they all can make us smile. :) Knickers, Pants, Panties. Do lots of races have a little smile at the thought of these garments when the word comes up in their own language? Or are the British extra strange?

I like hearing someone with a british accent talk about knickers, but i always call them panties. My best friend calls them drawers (but that is usually saved for those granny, unattractive panties.)

Well, to me I think British are strange because of how different we use English words. But, I do not see anything wrong with that. We are all different all around the world.
