Scarface...modern day Dr. Faustus?

Would you agree? I mean the play Dr. Faustus by Christopher Marlowe, wehreby Faustus sells his soul to the Devil in exchange for 20 years unlimited power.
I think that there is a number of parallels that can be drawn between the two, certainly both Faustus and and Montana start with nothing, and slowly decline from there, and totally lose touch with reality as well as coming to an unplesant demise.
