Been to a professional sports game? Worth the price?

Have you ever been to a professional sports game? Do you think it is worth the high price? I have been to a few (Cowboys, Mavericks, Texas Rangers, Steelers, Dallas Stars, ...). Although I did have a good time, some of the tickets can be pretty pricey. I think it is fun to go every now and then, but I wouldn't want to go all the time. What do you think?

I think 55 for nosebleed seats is crazy and you need a tv to watch the game. I wont do it

I've been to a bunch. I used to have season tickets in the nosebleed section for the Calgary Flames (hockey)and they were only $500 per year (41 games, great value). I've also been to see the Steelers 5 times and have never paid less than $100 for a ticket, usually from Ebay or scalpers. A little pricey but worth it for me.

that is a good deal for the hockey tickets. Yeah, I know what you mean about Steelers tickets. My husband is a huge fan and we went for his birthday one year.

I've been to one of the Seattle Mariner games, to me it was fun. But since I am not a huge sports fan of any kind, I wouldn't do it all the time. But yea, its worth it.

Well though I rarely go to these events but if the game turns out to be really good and creates an atmosphere of high energy then I will probably look forward to go to the next event. But on the other hand if it turns out to be drab and boring, I would not be so eager to go to the next game but like I said I rarely go to any such games and I would rather spend the money with my buddies having a good time else where.

I can't justify the price of going to a professional sports event. I have other things I'd like to spend my money on.

I have only been to a few professional baseball games. Tickets aren;t too bad, but the concessions will kill you. I like to take my 3 boys and we have a great time. I find a better value is college sports. We follow the University of Alabama and usually make it to 4 or 5 football games a year. You can't beat the atmosphere on a college campus during a football Saturday. The stadium rocks, the tailgating is an all day afair, and everyone, including rival fans, are passionate about their team.
