Growing up I was taught all types of history and one of them being black history. It was not like just for a month, but it was intergrated like the others. You know how you have government history or American history etc. Did you learn this too or was it just kinda skimmed over? What was a paper you wrote about for black history? I would be very intrested to see what people in time you all consider important so that I may pass this on to my son. Information is power adn education may very well break the rasist wall we live in. This is my hope at least.

Yes education should make kids understand and stop the hatred, it sounds sensible to get the kids when they are young and teach them what is right.

I agree with you, that is why I am starting at a young age. This is not the only history topic I am teaching, but it is one I would like to have info from african decendents or someone who is educated in it.

Yeah, that would be something else. I suppose it could work somehow if we all try to make it work. We were taught about the history in high school and stuff. So, that is something at least.
