What is the definition of a S.L.U.T.?

What is a s.l.u.t really? I have heard this many times, but what is the real and true definition of a person with this name tag? Is it a person that "Sips Lemonade Under Trees?" THANKS!!!!

Someone folks even find this to be a term of endearment. Many hedonists like the term and it is a compliment rather than an insult. Generally it is an insult to a female's character. It implies she is not good enough to have a meaningful relationship and the only way she can get males interested in her is through copulation.

i think it is an offensive term but also feel it can be empowering, for example as an accronym, S.L.U.T standards low enough for U tonight, isnt a bad one
