living drug free

I struggled with an addiction to hardcore narcotics and alcohol for over 20 years, finally for the past 18 months I have been able to abstain from the use of all mind altering chemicals. I've found theres a lot more to living drug free than just avoiding using; this has required a total change in my thoughts as well as my actions. A total change in the way I respond to life period. Anybody know what I mean>
