yeah, I know it is a cool game, I can't believe I still sometimes play it.

I think 80's and 90's videogames are the best. They will never die!

remembering each games drive us crazy but little by little I will post some other ones. great games! I remember frogger It was one of my first videogames I played. I was little child when I played it at my uncle's house. He owned that game on very old console I think it was spectrum, but I don't remember very well I was so little:p I used to go always to games room, to play videogames I wasted lot of coins! the first time I went to a game room, was with my cousin i was about 6 years old and we used to play shinobi and track n field, kung fu master and another game beat em up. thanx for sharing your experience. it's very interesting. Me too I like to remind 80's. I think they were the best time.

See that´s what i mean Jamz i was 13 and you were 6, i can say i never saw a little boy from your age in the games room those days, i was the youngest that time... lol
But yes Track & Field comes back to my mind as you mention it here. I was bizzy after posting here first so didn´t think on any other games then but sure tomorrow. so see ya´

Yes your probable right about that fact, but i´m sure it was much more fun in the ol´ days, well it counts for my self.

I never download games also don´t play on pc, i love consoles they are best for video games. I got back thinking on another old game that we played on the atari vcs but it was much better playing it on the big machines it´s called Moon Patrol. We were playing this like crazy also we got really good at it so we didn´t had to put in that amount of money... lol but it was very hard, you must be 100% concentrated on it to beat every stage.

The last time i was in these game rooms i recognized since we got the euro it got far to expencive. I´m really hopeing on much more responses on your topic jamz. Could be getting a real nice time trip...hehe

ps. i feel like a kind of idiot, how you name these big consoles in the game rooms???

I'm totally agree with you. me too I prefer to play consoles. Today it is true that games room are very expensive. And I think in the past a videogame was more desidered because they were not as spreaded as today. today you can find a game everywhere, in supermarkets, included with a magazine, or there are free games on the net. In the past, for me I couldn't change games so often because they cost more than today.

Yeah... that´s it i know same people they never played on older consoles because of the graphic the said was bad which i can´t understand, but now a days they all play a lot and my self is not so into gameing as i used to be. I specialy liked the N64 that was a great thing and with awesome games on high quality gameplay. Did you ever play Conker´s Bad Fur Day or the Banjo & Kazzoie game???

ps. I remember playing Probotector on SNES with my youngest brother, that was a real great action game which both players could play at the same time, what a hell of a fun.

Yes i had a Commodore 64 in 1984 i also had the one befor VC-20, but yes i nearly forgot Ghost´n Goblins & Asteroids thanks for reminding me on them. I never had that Atari VCS console but some of my friends had one, i remember playing these Star Wars games with them, man that thing coasts a fortune that time that´s why i didn´t get one for christmas.. hehe.. yeah.. that´s how it was these days.

ps. Hope some more mylotians come in for share more games that i have probable forgotten in all these years.

I remember commodore 64 but I never owned one. I used to play at my friend house. there was a great game called Stunts where you can create tracks and run with a car. It was amazing for that age! great ghost'n goblins!! it was a bit difficult expecially in games room where they put the hardest difficult level to make you waste lot of coins :P

I was remembering another game that i used to play in games room.. It was SPLATTERHOUSE! I was a child when I played it and it scared me very much, first times I played it I couldnt sleep ehhehe. I think it wasn't the right game for a little kid.

I was very interested in programming the Commodore 64, i learnd the computer language that time and were able to programm sprite (pixel element) figures with three colours at maximum which could be moved with the controller through a stage level design similar to like in thee Donkey Kong.
But the real hard thing was to put in movement on enemys or other moving level parts, i couldn´t get this into work, well i´m not a genius... lol but i sat for hours on programing different things.

oh well! I think it is a bit difficult to program that. And for only one person it is hard to make videogame, it is need a work group, only one person will become crazy to program a whole videogame or I at least I'd become crazy if I were good programming. I studied a bit of programming at high school I did C++, but I remember that was very boring :/ Programming isn't good for me or it is good but with a visual programming software. So I think you did a great job!

I just was interested a lot in that stuff those days and i went as far as i could at age 14, but one day i had enough of it and never touched a computer. Since last year when my girlfriend wanted to buy one in September. Then i started to record some music on it but i recognized that i´m more into the old technique so i still stick in my 4 track recorder to record songs.

But one day i was looking through the web and just through a random i came on mylot..LOL .. so here still i am. Well actually i was looking into German forums but somehow had no interest in them. But as i saw mylot and that it´s in english... i thought yeah i give it a try...haha

ah I forgot it.. I think those big consoles are called coin up games, and the big box where there is the screen and the joystic is called cabinat. Thank you for keep this discussion alive. I gave you a best response!

yes my lot is much more interesting than a forum. cool! do you record on a 4 track recorder? Do you mean the tape system or 4 track on a computer?

Yeah... i mean the old tape recorders i also have a 8 track tape recorder but the smaller one sounds better because the normal tapes are better for only useing 4 tracks, on 8 track each track is very thin, so the 4 track has more dynamic.

I never tried that kind of recording system. I only heard about it. when I started to play that kind of technology disappeared, but I think with them you can have a more genuine sound, some bands still use it.

Well then you missed two great games they are both adventure. Conker is unique in the humour it has, it´s very special to say and great fun, i allways have to laugh about the spoken dialects all the characters come up with... LOL

The 4 track recorder i have is 15 years old, still works great and the 8 track is from 1995 after them came the hard disk recorders. We did live recordings in our practise room, worked out pretty fine even with the drumset. But we used a second mixer for the drums because we took it of with 6 mic´s and conected it with the mixer in the 8track. What a work we had till all was set up right... LOL

is conker for nintendo 64? if yes I can't play it I don't have that console. hehhe to have a cool sound I know it is needed lot of patience and work with sets.

Yes right it came out first for N64, i think in 2000 but i also have the remake on the Xbox which is awesome. Just to get you interested i put a screenshot in ...hehe.. have a look jamz. Here´s a site for the game:

Yes really... well it´s contains more black adult humour but funny as hell .. LOL try it one day just for having fun some hours. It´s about a squirrel named Conker that is on it´s way to get home to his girlfriend after drinking at the pup and get´s on the wrong side of the road and then a really weird adventure starts for him... it´s defenitly not a kiddy´s game ...haha ..LOL

Yes i know... well they updated the original version on the Xbox with including a muliplayer death match game, pretty bloody but it´s cartoon ... hehe

I never played the Sonic games but i know that chatacter. What´s up with the old 2d Castlevania games they were pretty good and fun to play. And still in the change to 3d these were great games, well i haven´t played the last ones but i remember the N64 version was awesome!

I suggest to try sonic 1, it is the rival of mario :P I prefer mario anyway.
I remember castelvania! I liked it! I used to play it in games room and with snes emulator. I didn't play yet to the 3d one but I suppose it is great!

I remember that the critics on Castelvania 64 for N64 were not that good but i like the game, still have it and sometimes when i´m in the mood i play it. The game included playing it with two different characters so it has a little difference in storyline.

I hope It is good as the 2d version. The old version had a cool soundtrack too.

Yes the soundtrack on the N64 verion is great as it allways was. What about the Zelda game series did you play one part of it?

yeaaa! I played zelda 3d ocarina time for nintendo 64 and I played zelda 1 for nintendo 8 bit! It was great! lately I wish to play the 8 bit version again! Last time I played it I was very kid lol! too bad I can't post photos! lol 10 posts more and I can upload them too!:)

yea! It is a good game. I like that kind of game. And I read some Dragon quest's manga too. I liked the graphic and the plot. It was great time when there were those games without memory card. Inside the cartidge there was a memory where you could store data saves.

Great games! I like them all! Lately I used to play to the first zelda for nes! I've genesis too, it is a great console but my favourite one is nintendo 8 bit! there are all classics, mario bros, zelda, bubble bobble and so on.

Mario made the history of videogames! I never get bored playing it. Mortal Kombat is another classic, I remember when I used to play with megadrive and gameboy to challenge my friends! we'd great times!

Woah Doom! What a great game! I love it so much expecially the second one! Lately I'm playing it multiplayer. You can have more fun playing against people from all around the world! I love "capture the flag" challenge on Doom II multiplayer.
