| |  i think blues is where it all started. rock and roll is an evolution of the blues where the tempo is quickened and distortions are added. jazz is also another evolution of blues and rock, only this time the beats and notes are played in a complicated way. i'm not sure w/ r&b though. it's just my opinion based on what i have been obesrving since our band plays blues, rock and roll and jazz
