I know you can keep reciepts for different things such as Car repairs. Child care. Your House, Uniforms that you buy for work. Office supplies if you work in your home, Phones for your Bussieness. Alot of things can someone help me out , What else. because alot of people don't know some of these things. Do you do your taxes your-self or go pay to let someone do it. you can also get goverment to do it for you It just takes longer. some people do the taxes online. how do you? I always wanted to take a tax course.

I have been doing taxes for about 20 years now. I have never had someone else do my taxes for me. It comes easy to me and if I have a question, I just do research.
I think the best way to do your taxes now, is online. It gets transmitted to the IRS really quick, and if you have a checking or savings account, you can have your refund direct deposited in about 7-10 days, and it is free.
I still do not know why someone would pay a tax service to file their taxes electronically and then pay extra for a quicker refund.
If you get a big refund, then you are having too much taken out of your pay each payday. The IRS gets the money and earns interest on it all year. I like to keep as much of my money as possible and earn my own interest.
You can not earn money on taxes, you can get credits or deductions. The credits can be on tuition, retirement, child care, child tax, earned income, etc. The duductions are mortgage interest, unreimbursed employee expenses, health care cost, milages- business and medical, state taxes paid, etc. I guess it can get complicated, but most online tax programs are easy to use and they ask you all the questions, all you need are the answers. It figures out all the forms you need and how to fill them out. Many of them will also give you information on how to save money for the next year.
If you do them yourself, you will save money. Good luck, and pray for no audits.

A plus for you + that was a lot of good information. I knew some of the things you were saying about deductions. that is good you have been doing taxes for a year. I bet you get extra money just by that. I met earned income credit. that's were you benefit from.
