Should you collect unemployment given the follow scenario? If you are 28 years old, college educated, been working in finance for 3-4 years and if for some reason you got laid off should you immediately apply for unemployment? The underlying assumption is that your family can't help you out but you have at least 6 months of savings in the bank. Also you intend to try hard to start looking for a job the day you get laid off. Thanks.
