My boyfriends uncle is dying because of what he did to himself...

My boyfriends uncle is in the hospital last night. Apparently, 3 months ago he went to the hospital with his wife and found out that if he didn't stop drinking his liver was going to give up on him and he would die. Yesterday he went upstairs into the bedroom and when one of their friends went to say hi all you could hear was screaming. There was blood everywhere and he was going into shock. When the ambulence came he was 'throwing punches' out of hystaria while puddles of blood were falling everywhere. His kids were screaming and the police had to keep them from him. He had a 50/50 chance of making it through until the morning. Even if he lived (which im not sure if he did or not yet) hes pretty much done for. His wife is an alcholic and has a felony record for drunk driving. He has a 5 year old son, a 13 year old daughter and a grown son in college that depends on him as well. They have no life insurance and pretty much have nothing. The only way the family would make it is if she found someone new to take care of them. How could you do this to yourself and to people who love you? If you knew it was going to happen how could you do it? The picture I have uploaded on this discussion is the drink that killed him.
