ARGHH... Taxes!

Does anyone else want to run around and scream and pull their hair out? How about someone else's hair? Why is this so friggin difficult?

Taxes are not difficult. I have to pay every year also, and it is best to just send estimated taxes every quarter. You know how aprox. how much you earn in interest and you know aprox. how much you pay each year. You could also increase the taxes that your employer takes out. I used to have mine take out an additional $20 a payperiod, until I figured out that the interest I earned saving it myself was to my benefit. If you can save money, put a little back each week to cover your interest income and pay it to the IRS each quarter, if you find it hard to do this, increase your withholding.

Thanks. I did have my withholding increased but then I got a raise. I guess I need to look at it again before next year.

Why are you so mad about taxes? I do my own taxes and don't get stressed out at all, but my taxes aren't very complicated.

I do mine also, but we have to pay every year! Cannot figure out how to get the right amount deducted. But we have a lot of interest and investment income that isn't taxed until the end of the year, and then we get slammed.
