Is it better to be trendy or timeless? |
| |
| Whether it comes to your personal style in fashion or homes, which do you think is better? Can things be both trendy and timeless? I always have clients who want their designs to be trendy and timeless. Talk about a challenge! | | | | | |

| | You may have more intelligent clients than I do!! :-) Actually I've just begun to have the opportunity to present my ideas to clients. With the hierarchy of my firm, you have to wait years to do this. I realize that you are right though--the convincing and how you "sell" your design is key to how the client will receive it. I still have tons to learn. | | | |

| | Thanks for the vote DesignDiva. By coincidence I happen to be up and just ending a rare late night brainstorming session between my cat and I. Just as I was getting ready to shut down my Mac I decided to see what's happening at myLot. Good to hear from you. I hope your creative juices are boiling over. Don't worry about how much there is to learn. Just concentrate on how much you have to offer. The lessons will come naturally, mostly. What sort of design do you do: Interior decorating, interior design, fashion design, etc? ‹(°¿°)› | | | |

| | I guess that's what makes you the design diva and not me. LOL I understand what you are saying. I have watched a lot of the home shows. Kudos to you! Some of those home owners crack me up with some of their design requests, something only they could truly love. My house is a mix matched mess. One day...I would like to go for a contemporary style. | | | | | | |

| | i think a combination of both will be ideal though personally, i prefer timeless style. Trendy designs add spice to timeless ones. But i think personality also plays a major role here. Preferences differ based on personality. So i think neither is better. Its just a matter of dealing with different styles. =) | | | | | | |
