Nas really took the time to pick out the most soulful beats that he could express his imagination to. Nas brings back the essence of good music with HHID and stays true to the game while doing so. I cant wait to hear what he's gonna come up with next, him moving to Def Jam should've happened years ago. Can you picture him and Rick Ruben doing something? Fire!

aleks_saricx (346) | 3 years ago | I love that song. I'm a true hip-hop fan aswell as recorder. Nas has the skill that only few have. Nas always stays on subject. He never mentioned jewelery, hoes, or purple kush. str8 hip-hop. I agree, the best since Stillmatic. He dissed the ATL lol. The Game did too. Because the only reason they're popular is because of the dances coming out of Bankhead. Nas knows how to put a song together with great flow, great lyrics, great multis, and still have a message coming from his songs.

Regardless, "Hip Hop is Dead" definitely fits into the "Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2006" category. Between Nas' joint and the Roots' "Game Theory," Def Jam killed it for the latter half of '06. I understand Nas' joint is a concept album, but I'm still slightly conflicted about the title, me working in the real Hip-Hop industry and all.

5. Psychosis (359) | 3 years ago | I thought the new album was decent, but it could have been better. I was expecting a lot from Nas for this record and I was a bit disappointed.
