Bare Minerals - The makeup  

i have some BM make-up it was given to me by my mother in law. she wants me to try this cause she said its reallt good. i use clinique & this is a better & cheaper alternative according to her. im giving it a try. i heard lots of raves about it. it must be really good :)

Can I ask what bare minerals are, I have never heard of this before, I can't even imagine in what area you would put this in....:(

I use Bare Minerals. First I have to say I don't wear make up every day and I leave the house quite often without make up on. Basically I'm comfortable with or without it.
I like Bare Minerals. It didn't give me the cover I had hoped for under my eyes (black circles). For the most part though it looks nice and smooths everything out evenly.
I paid $60ish for 4 small containers. 1 pre powder lotion. 2 shades of mineral foundation. 1 powder blush. 1 finishing powder. and 3 brushes (Starter Kit) I bought them from Sephora.com
It's lasted a long time and I would buy it again. I prefer it to liquid foundation. Although I am thinking of trying a tinted moisturizer just because Ilike to try new things. I have to debate about it for awhile first!

I love BM and will not use anything else. I get mine from E-bay, because I find it a little cheaper. I have combination skin on my face and Psoriasis and I can say it does help me that I can get hot, but I do not shine like I use to. It does not totally cover the psoriasis, but it does bring the red down alot. I do not find I have been having as much break outs with it since I have started using it as compared to liquid foundation.

I have never used bare minerals but I`ve heard people talk about it before. are you using it? what can you tell me about it? I don`t know much about it. just what I heard. all I heard was that it covers up your imperfections.

I've been doing some research on Bare Minerals lately to see if it's right for me. I keep hearing how wonderful it is. Like Leeza, I can go out the house without makeup and be fine. I actually have pretty good skin because I believe in taking good care of it so that I don't have to wear a lot of makeup, but one thing that bothers me is shine. Also, for important parties, it's nice to have the illusion of naturally flawless skin, and I hear that's what this product delivers. I'm apprehensive though because 1) I heard through the grapevine that it contains a product that might irritate my skin, depending on if I'm allergic to it, 2) If I purchase it from the site, they want to automatically enroll me into their club, and I seriously don't want that. So, in the event that I do purchase some just to try it out, I guess I'll be buying from Sephora or Ebay. I hate heavy makeup, and I can't stand foundation because it makes us African-American women look cakey 8x out of 10. For a while, I was just using a tinted oil-free moisturizer from Neutrogena, which works well, but I'm interested in trying something new now. I just don't want complicated makeup, you know?

I have heard so much about it but I haven't tried it before. I am not into the powders on my face anymore. So, I guess that's why I don't want to try it.

Yeah, i've heard of it, but never used it. i always get tempted to buy it when i see the infomercial!! and i have no idea how much that stuff is. i've never met someone that has bought it! i use to like lorels air effects, but they took it of the market!

I have heard of it but havent yet tried it, I would like to though. I use most natural products that contain no chemicals and arent harsh on the skin such as soaps,shampoos and consitioners, skin cream etc, I tend to make my own and sell some also so i have bought a couple of samples but like i said i havent gotten around to using them! For me though anything natural has got to be better then chemical filled stuff they give us to put on our skin ;)

I love the brand. I tried it when I was in the states and I had to go back and buy everything in full size (I put up an article about my experience with Bare Escentuals: http://www.helium.com/tm/. . It just feels super light on skin and it doesn't irritate skin in any sense. It turns the makeup into a sophisticated look instead of here and there and being all cakey. I now prefer this brand over other makeup brands because it does make me feel better. I get my own stuff at their counter and sephora, I think the selection is great too!
