If you consider yourself superstitious, what kinds of things do you do or not do to keep up with your beliefs?

No I'm not superstitious, but I do like to find out how some of those beliefs came to be popular. There is one that says it is bad luck to whistle in a theater, but I always have to laugh when someone says that at work (I work at a theater) because that came about back in the day when many of the riggers in theaters were ex-sailors who used whistles to communicate signals to eachother; so a misplaced whistle could end up flying out a piece or scenery or having a sandpag dropped on you! So, at that time, yes, very unlucky to whistle in a theater, but nowadays, it doens't mean anything.

Although I'm your common skeptic I'm actually a bit superstitious at times. Not strongly superstitious but I tend to avoid saying God's name in vain, although I'm atheist. I've always worn good luck charms sometimes. As I said, I'm not very superstitious but I still have little instincts in the back of my mind telling me to watch out for certain things.
