would you prefer to know the time of your death

I wouldn't want to know the time of my death beforehand. To me it would spoil whatever little time I have left to live my life. I would prefer a instant death. But when I asked this question to many of my friends, they all said they would like to know the time of their death beforehand. The reason they gave was that it would give them some time to say their goodbyes and do the things they left unfinished. What do you guys thing?
