This is so weird. We are in southern indiana and the schools will be opened later today because it is so cold. It is like minus 15 degrees!! I have never heard of anything like this before here. I lived in Marquette michigan when i was a kid and we had school closings then but not here. Scary. Makes me think of the movie day after tomorrow

Global warming seems to be playing havoc with our weather, no matter what the prez says. Extremes of weather are here to stay. If mankind does not do something about greenhouse gasses, the world is eventually going to get warmer and may be in a few decades, we will all have to migrate to colder climates. I sure hope that does not happen! I live in a warm enough place to begin with!

We had the closing here this Monday morning. The wind is the factor and anyone out for over a short period of time would be in danger and children do not keep in the warmth like we do. It actually makes me stiff so my hubby is working for me til the weather improves about 10 degrees or so. We woke up to minus 5 degrees this morning and now about 4 hours later is has climbed to 3 degrees.. wow! At least it is sun shining. That makes it a bit nicer. For the Day After Tomorrow we would need some weather patterns to begin to form and combine. We are still scattered in patterns for now. Take care and hope the kids don't make you too tired!!
