Indianapolis Colts!!!!  

Ah, let's face it the Colts deserved to win. The Bears let themselves get spanked...hard. My favorite part of the whole thing was Prince at half-time.

I'm guessing you're from Indianapolis. I wanted to make some observations about this whole thing from someone who's not a fan but happens to live here. This is just a rant. It's my opinion, so no offense.

Funny how people become big fans when a team is winning, eh? I like fairweather fans as much as I like root canals and $3 gas. Hey Channel 8. Yer doin a disservice to this city when the 1st 15 minutes of a 30 minutes newscast is devoted to repeating the same thing ya told us yesterday. The Colts are in Miami. They're in their hotel rooms. They're in a restaurant eating. Blah blah blah.
I'm pretty sure we're still embedded in Iraq, but if you feel this Colts exclusive is more important, I'll trust your judgement.

Football is a slow game. Ya get 15 seconds of play, then it stops for 2 minutes. These overpayed millionaires play ONE (I repeat) ONE game a week, and get payed millions! WTF? In baseball, basketball, hockey, they play 3-5 games a week. They earn their money. I find Football boring. Paint drying? It makes golf on TV look interesting.
Was anyone even aware that the Pacers were playing this season? Evidently the news stations didn't know. So if yer not winning, yer dead to us. I see. We had pro hockey here in Indy. The ICE won a championship TWICE! But evidently, hockey is too high brow for this red state. Too much action. Too much coordination involved to actually be any good. I mean, if you can move a tiny piece of rubber
around with a stick, manage to put it into a net, with a goaltender, and oh yea, yer doin that while yer on ice skates, well then....I guess yer just not athletic enough to have a pro team in this town.

I'm sorry, but I can't get enthusiastic about a game I dislike. Not even when My Man Mitch tells me I should. Yea, let's just make Meridian Street a Toll Road so we can buy every 7-11 in the state a Colts flag to fly come Monday. Who's paying for this stadium anyway? You are. I am. The poor in Indianapolis. Every time I eat out in Indy or surrounding counties, I get taxed extra to pay for a stadium I'll never visit. But wait, aren't I STILL paying an extra penny to pay for the Hoosier Dome? That giant circus tent has been payed for for years! So exactly where is that penny going? Why didn't they divert that penny instead of adding another? How about we cut the teams salary in half to pay for the stadium? Why can't the Colts pay for it? Oh they threw in a small token amount to make them look good. Now for a Superblow bid, we have to guarantee that no NFL entitiy will have to pay any taxes on anything they buy here while in Indy. Unreal! Heck, they don't even have a parking garage planned out yet for the stadium. No one knows where it will be or who will pay for it? I guarantee the Colts won't.
I really can't see how the Colts give back to Indy.
