This is one movie which really got me thinking.
The movie is about a guy who can go back in time and re-do certain things in life, i.e. he can relive life again in a different way. And every time he does that the consequences are different and he finds himself in different situations. Initially it is difficult to understand what's happening in the movie, but later you can. It's very interesting to see how his actions can affect a lot of others in his life. Each time he goes back and does something different, his present life is in a bigger mess. Finally the only solution to all the mess is to kill himself in the womb, that is before he is born.
The reason I chose to mention the movie is, very often in real life, each of us at some time or the other wish we could go back and relive life all over again, there are many things which we regret doing and would like to set it right. But come to think of it, maybe all what we did was meant to happen. By doing whatever it is we did, we have directly or indirectly affected some other person on the planet.
This movie made me realize that we get only one chance to live and it is important to live it right. The events that occur are some way or the other interlinked. We often take so many things for granted which we shouldn't. I recommend you watch this movie too.

I've seen this movie long time back when it first came out, but i can't forget how amazing it is, it's such an original and beautiful idea, and it's ashton kutcher's best movie ever!!!
It's so excellent, that it's in my top ten favorites of all time.
So imagine my excitement when i discovered that there was a butterfly effect 2.
So i rented it as soon as i found out, but trust me, it sucks!!!
Don't watch it, it's not worth it, it really takes a beautiful idea and a beautiful made movie that the first one was and turned it into Cr*p,
i didn't mean to be this harsh or blunt,
but after watching the first part, the second one was almost an insult to the original.
Have you seen the sequel?

Nope not yet, a while ago I read the reviews and they weren't good either..so I'm having second thoughts on whether I should see it or not! True, the first one was very original and very well picturised. Well I guess I'll take your word about the sequel, thanks for the heads up!:)

well, i wouldn't say don't watch it, watch it and decide for yourself, i didn't like it, because the first one was so awesome that it was hard to follow anyway, plus they didn't put much effort into the story or the acting, but i don't like to enforce my opinion on anyone, watch it, and then we can badmouth it together.

yeah i already seen the movie and was great movie to see. I own it on DVD. That movie does make you wonder if you go back what will happen. The affects directly and indirectly. What you may think its for the good but actually could make it worse. Every thing we do now affects the future and thats why you try and make the right choice now so it wont affect your future, but we are human and prone to make mistakes. It for us to make the best of what we have and what we got now and dont take it for granted. great topic.

I have watched this movie so many times it's almost embarrassing it does make you think. I did not really care that much for the second one that came out.Do you know any other movies that really make you think about the way life turns out because of our actions. Let me know.

I saw the movie a long time ago and at first i had a hard time understandingit, but it sure is one of those that gets you thining, even after it is finished and I do belivethat it is a great movie.
I do belive that whatever happens to us, it´s ment to happe and by changing that we will cause "history" to change, and also make it even worse. We all have a plan - already set for us!

Yeah, it's really a movie that made you think and feel - really a masterpiece. There should be more movies like this.
