2.  LadyLeene (479) | 1 year ago |  Well, when I saw this movie, I didn't think of it as 'Julia and Dermot'. It was 'Julianne and Michael'. I think that a lot of times when people are upset with a movie or TV show, it is because they are having trouble seeing the characters and are focusing more on the actors. It isn't uncommon for people to approach an actor to ask them why they did something that THEIR CHARACTERS did.
That being said, I liked the 'real world' ending to this movie. Michael and Julianne had their shot, it didn't work out, and Michael married someone who was perfect for him. Julianne realized that, and it helped her to grow up. THe transformation made for a really great movie.
