Is my son too young for a game console?

Hi! Would like to hear your opinions regarding a game console for my son who is only 6 years old. I asked this question because one of my friends asked me if it's alright to give my son a game console at his age. What are your opinions in this matter? Thank you!

My son started playing at 3 and he could play it well then. I think there's no wrong or right age as long as the play time is controlled and the games monitored. Video games can be addicting so it's good that if they start young, they are disciplined and know when they can play and not.
