I've just been outside for the last hour with the kids building a snowman. When I was a kid i remember it being fun and not at all tiring. Ok it was still fun, as my 2 year old has never really seen snow before. But oh boy! It hurt! My back is killing me now and I think I'm gonna be hurtin for a week LOL! And i remember it being really easy to make, roll the snow in to a ball. Push it around a bit and bang you got a body! Werent that easy today! Took ages to get it going, then it was more of an odd shaped oblong! LOL Well the kids had fun so thats the main thing! But I'm glad it don't snow that often here!

oh what a nice scenery...you and your kids making a snowman...so lovely, indeed...I have never made a snowman and confess I don't like snow very much because I suffer from cold but this is one of the things I would sure love about snow....making snowman and playing at throwing balls at each others...well, guess I like more the idea of snow...staying at home with the fireplace going and looking at the snow falling when you're safe and warm then the snow itself... I'm sure that making a snowman may be tiring..but your ache will pass while your children will remember these moments forever... thanks for sharing with us this special moment of your family

LOL. Thanks for the laugh. I am sorry that you are hurting but I can understand. I haven't gone out with the kids in a long time but I remember when I did, I was laid up for a few days. Things hurt that I didn't know I had. Our big thing was making snow forts with our recycling boxes. I never could get a snowman to come out the way it was supposed to. But anyway, I have been anting to take my three year old grandson outside to play but the temps here haven't been over 20 degrees in awhile. It very cold here and with the wind, it feels much colder.

I think the reason it never hurt me as a kid was because my dad usually made most of it and I just decorated it. Its not usually my back that hurts afterwards its my hands as they are so cold, and I'm sure that was true when I was a kid too.

LOL. The trick to not getting cold hands is wear two pairs of gloves! The outside pair get get but it takes ages for the inside pair to get wet. I was out there over an hour and the inside pair still dry and i was hands in most of the time.
