The Fear of big numbers...

When posting responses i always check the amount of responses a discussion has already, This is because when i take the time to post a response i would like it if the person would read what i had to say and i feel that if a discussion has more than say 20 posts, then the person who started it wouldnt read mine Does anyone else feel like this?

If it's a subject of little interest to me, I probably won't bother if there is pages and pages of responses. If it's a subject that I enjoy, I'll post to it no matter how long the conversation already is.
