pick pocketers in U.S !!

one of my friends have been sent to U.S for an On job training by his company SAPIENT TECHNOLOGIES. he got all pick pocket there while travelling in the bus. he was carring around $200 in cash and debit card with the limit of $1300 in his purse. he lost all the money he had there and doen't left with a single penny. he is really depressed. he emailed me and asked for help. i m trying helping him through my contacts. here in India, his partents are also worried about him. what should he do now now and any helpful advice..
