Hangover pill: does it really work?

I don't know about you, but when I read about those hangovers pills (just started to be commercialized in Europe recently) I first thought, ok here is something that will help a couple of students to attend their classes the next mroning after a party, but also employees who don't show up on a monday morning... I read more about it and found out that since it seems to reduce the amount of alcohol in the blood, it could actually have some more extended usage, i.e. people who drunk-drive and don't want to be caught could use it then too... anyway I also read that the scientific tests ran were very doubtful so I was wondering if anybody had tried it and what was the result...
