What is the worst thing you have forgotten?

What was it? It could have been your son/duaghter's 16th birthday, your credit card, the time, you've forgotten to collect your baby from a nursery, you've " to lock your car and it got stolen, you've forgotten what? One of my 'forgotten' moments was when I've forgot that my family went shoping and then I went to and we bought the same thing. Effectively, we doubled-up on everything! It took us ages to eat/use it all; some we had to return.

That must have been quite embarassing. How old were your parents that year (last year)? Was it a special occasions? Like their 50th or perhaps an anniversary? What dates were their birthday and what were you doing on that day?

I had forgotten to call my dad on Father's day and it made me feel really bad, especially when you can't really fix it or call the day or days after.....it's already gone.

I forgot to pick up my daughter from school when she was in the first grade. I didn't remember that she got out early that day so I was there at the usual time which was an hour later. So I went to the office to pick up my daughter and they had no clue where she was! The stupid school had not noticed that she wasn't picked up and had left the school campus to walk home! And they had a person that watched the kids while their parents picked them up! I spazzed out and drove home in tears, looking for her all the way and there she was, sitting in the grass in front of the apartments. The principal of the school followed me home and saw us there while I held her crying my head off. It totally sucked. I did not have any respect for those people whatsoever after that. Not only were they negligent, they really didn't care about the kids. I was always careful after that but of course, then I had a reputation for forgetting my daughter which has not gone away and my daughter is now 28 years old. When she asks me to pick up her kids from where ever, she always calls me to make sure that I haven't "forgotten."

The worst thing I've forgotten was my older son. He'd spent the weekend at his grandmother's. He was sleeping when he came home so he was put straight in his crib. About an hour later I remembered I had to drive down to the corner store real quick. I loaded the older children up in the car and drove off. I got about 100 yards down the road before I remembered the baby sleeping at home. (of course I turned right around and went back for him) He'd been gone long enough and had slept so long I just totally forgot he'd come home. Talk about a bad mom day.
