how to install network printer   

If it is a true network printer it will have an ethernet socket. Connect it to your hub/switch/router and it will show up.

If it is connected to another PC then it can be shared when that PC is switched on.

Go to Start -> Settings -> printer and Faxes -> Add a printer...
Click on next a couple of times . Once u get the 'Find Printer' window, sclick on find now. U will get a list of printers available in ur network.. Double click on the one u want to install...

You can run \\computername to find the printer,double click the printer which you want to install.
Or create TCP/IP port for the network printer.

To install a network printer, select printer and faxes from the start menu,
select add a new printer
* from add a printer wizard click next
* from the options select a netwrok printer or printer attached to another computer and click next
* Select browse for a printer and click next
* from the list select the one you want to use and click next
* chose YES if you want to make it the default printer

Assuming you've installed your printer correctly.

First thing first, you "must" enable the "printer and file sharing" service in your network properties where printer is connected.

Secondly, right-click and "Share" the printer you wanted to share.

Thirdly, click your client's Network Neighborhood and look for the PC where the printer is connected, double click the Printer Name (what ever you named it), and follow the on-screen instructions.

if a printer is intalled on another computer, be sure that all your computers are in the same network..then go to:
my network places
click view workgroup computers then double click on where you have installed your printer after that right click on the printer then connect..

First you have to share your printer, by doing this click Printers and Faxes. then right click your printer then click sharing.

Second if you have second computer which is connected to the hub, click printers and faxes then add printer then click a network computer,or a printer attached to another computer, then click connect to this computer. Note: to do this you have to know the IP address of your host computer. then click next until you see the finish button. do you get it?

well i dont know exactly but ! i think it requires one hardware known as printer server or alike ! i heard from anybody that it also does priority like things ! just check out or have google search
