Have you lost your father?

Oh, my word! I lost my father when I was 8. I was too young to care. But I'm sure that I'm not the cause of his death because he was a drunkard and he had a cirrhosis (spelling) of the liver. It was hard to grow up without your parents beside you. When my father died, mom had to go away often to do her business alone. She became a father and a mother at the same time. And poor me, being the youngest, never enjoyed the luxury of having a caring father. Nevertheless, I grew up under my mom's wise guidance and if I would get to see my father again, I would spend lots and lots of time with him.
