I don't see the doctor until Thursday and I am beside myself. The last time I was there I asked him to take me off some of my meds because I felt like a zombie. He took me right off my Lamotrigine and weaned me off my serquiel. I went back on the serquiel and weaned myself off again. I was in mixed state for a couple of days. For anyone who doesn't know much about bipolar it means you are cyclying high and low constantly. Bipolar is also known as manic depressive. For the last 2 nights I haven't been able to sleep. I just layed in bed a tried not to disturb my husband last night as he had to work early. My mind was racing and thinking weird thoughts. I hate this disease. I just took a Lorazapan and hope it will clear my mind so I can sleep for an hour but I doubt it. How do you deal with your manic states. Yesterday I was cleaning like crazy. Almost got my granddaugthers room ready to move back in.

I can't really relate to how you feel. I have depression but not bipolar. I think they are definitely learning more and more about it as the years go on. I remember in the late 70's they use to always say that my dad was manic depressive but I'm not entirely sure they knew at the time exactly what that was. I think stress is a huge factor and you seem to have so much of that in your life. You never seem to get a good chunk of time where everything is calm and ordinary. I think until they get your meds straightened out it will be difficult for you. Just don't take on more then you can handle.

You can relate to how I feel half of the time. The manic state is the worse though for me. You can't sleep and the crazy thoughts. Stress and gentics contribute. You are right about the meds. I thinking having my son move out will help. I have picked out some chores my daughter has to do when she moves in and that will help do. If she doesn't do them I will not do any extra babysitting until they are done.
