well, prince had a lot of controvery to him back in the day, i mean, so did madonna. i may be young, but i remember a lot of his older songs and they're considered some of the top songs of all time. there's Kiss, When Doves Fly and so many more. his small short movie carrer to boost his popularity and of course he was a very big sex symbol back in the early 90's. i even remember thinking he was a little sexy myself. although his latter work i wasn't that interested in, i do agree that he is a great singer with amazing range.

and i may not be up to date in celebirty gossip but the only big lip-singing scandle in the music industry that i remember was Mili Vanilli and the recent Ashley Simpson one. thats about it. prince is not the only one. i think of him as a legend and i'm not his biggest fan. i just think he was smart and made some good songs and he made some smart business decisions as well. i personally think madonna was a lot better, mostly because i could probably name more of her songs and the ones she does now are still pretty catchy. madonna is smarter in the music industry because she will adapt herself to the time. if you look at her songs from when she started now you can see an obvious change. and being outrageous is a play to get noticed. in some ways its smart, but it depends on how its done.

I'm with you. I don't get it. At all. He just is average to me. Maybe he dared to go where other musicians wouldn't. OK, maybe it's a matter of taste. But I can't fathom why anyone would think he is sexy. I don't think he is tall enough to get on a ride as Disney Land. Not that I don't love the short men, just not him.

I like his music. He has a unique voice, but I don't think it's bad. There are a lot worse singers than him. There are plenty of other popular musicians whose popularity I don't understand.

I don't remember hearing about Prince being accused of lip syncing.

The name change thing was weird, but I later heard it had something to do with a contract dispute with his record company, he couldn't release albums under the name Prince for some reason. Not sure of the details.
