What Sort Of Artwork Hangs On Your Wall Or Takes Pride Of Place On Your Shelves?  

In my bedroom, I have native american themed art and crafts hanging on the wall, my living room just has a lot of family pictures, of my daughters and grand daughter, and just general family- my kitchen is done with a country theme!

in my living room and in my kitchen i have artwork done by my daughter. in the living room i have the first scribbles that my daughter did when she was about 18 months or so, put in some really nice frames and it looks great. and in the kitchen i have a painting that she made at age 3.

Most of it is my own paintings, my father’s paintings, my collection of Chinese things, special figurines and things with some personal significance. Being a bit more than an occasional magpie, the collection has now grown to cover pretty much all available space.

Mementos of significant events, like publishing a book, also keep the paint clean. Some of the things are like a storyboard, like a new font I’m working on near the computer. I’ve also got some oak leaves, gum nuts, and other things blue tacked to the wall, they do look good.

Art is probably in the mind of the beholder. Which makes me wonder what decorators use for minds.

My home is covered with pictures of my daughter and grandbabies. A few things that I painted and mostly my angel collection. I have about 100 angels of all sizes scattered all over the house. My husband calls them "man killers" lol when I asked him why he said "cause if a man breaks one...he's dead". hehehe and he's right. ;-)

I have nothing but my father in law's artwork hanging on the walls in my house. He is wonderful and known internationally. I have included a pic of one of his works, this is a wood burning created on natural wood free handed. No inks or pens ever touch the wood. Any way, he does a variety of arts, from oils to pastels, to wood burning. He is a wonderful artist.

I have Sunrise With Giraffes by Leon Wells in my dining room, it's beautiful, well I like it anyway. Shrek has a limited addition print of Scarborough sea front i nthere too and 2 ariel views of our bungalow.
My lounge has 2 big pictures of my kids.

My bedroom pot lizard I painted and had glazed, and Captain Jack model and a few kids pictures on the bedside shelves.

I am the artist. My work is the faces of women with one eye. I believe that women need only one eye to see. Whereas men need two. My work is recognizable by the one eye. That is what is hanging on my walls,

In the livingroom, my husband's acrylic paintings of medieval life scenes and warriors. His suit of armor forged by him from old defunct street signs he procured from a junkyard is standing in the corner, waiting for him to wear for demos and weekend medieval war practice. Likewise all the medieval weapons he's made from rattan, tennis balls and duct tape. On the shelves are statues of knights and fantasy birds of prey and dragons and a drinking tankard collection.
The walls are painted like bricks from the interior of a castle, heavy tapestried curtain are at the windows (which I;ve sown) and wooden chests, ottomans and stuffed chairs complete the room.

i like to have pictures of places i have nbeen to or lived in I have one of london bridge another of the bridge over new river gorge in w virginal a magnolia picture to remind me of mississippi .and then of cource Pictures of my children and grandchildren Most of my pictures are ones that bring back good memories so they cheer me up when im down!

My own< I had a few musical posters up, but my gf removed them and asked me to put up my own stuff, so, how could one refuse a compliment like that?
