it would definitely make sounds or try to give u singals b4 so just try to understand it or observer it..if u feel so take it to the place and let it be there ..u do it once ..twice or thrice it will understand thts the place....

Try confining it to the room where the litter box is located for a few days. If you can, when you clean up the un-wanted mess put it in the litter box. This will put your cat's scent where you want it. Most cats return to the place they messed before.
You'll also need to clean every place your cat went through out the house with vinegar to kill the smell and discourage his returning to those spots. Best of Luck to you!

This works best when they are smaller. Every chance you get pick them up and set them down in the litter box. This has always worked for me. Recently I had my oldest cat start to pee in random places in the house and infront of me. This was because he was trying to tell us that there was somthing wrong with him. A few vet visits and a few meds later he was back to his old self.

These are the things that I did with an outside kitten that was given to me. She was used to going ne where, and at first, that's what she did. What worked for me was taking his/her paws and dig them into the litter box with your hands. Also take her inas soon as she does her business on the floor, and clean up the mess and put it in the litter box, along with the cat itself, adn have her smell the seces or urine. This will teach the cat that they are supposed to go to teh bathroom in the litter and nor on the floor, that is what worked with my kitten, and we tried other things first, but after a day of putting her in the box with her mess, she got the hang of it,and I havent had a problem since.

I'd rather want my cat to go to the bathroom than to poop or pee everywhere..I don't use a litter box..My cat just does it in the bathroom..and we just pour water on it to go down the drain.

I have never had to reach my cats, they just seemed to just go to the kitty litter box, I think I may have just put them there once and that was that...
