Do you find that people appreciate the time you put into making their cards, or are they thrown out with ones purchased at the dollar store? My sister frames hers, but my grandmother throws them in the garbage? Do you think that I should just start buying hers at the dollar store?

i prefer homemade cards, they are more personal...i always keep them, but then again my partner always picks lovely cards from shops, so i always keep them. he tends to buy store bought homemade ones

I know this was posted quite some time ago...but I just joined and happened to see it. While I sure hate to think the cards would just get thrown away, I really have no idea if someone is doing that. If I knew for sure someone was, I would still make the card, though, admittedly I would maybe not embellish it as much or put lots of layers, etc. Also, here is an idea...my grandma requested that we sign her cards with a post-it note so she can then reuse it.
