Sophie Kinsella--similarities in characters

You could probably only respond to this post if you've read these books, but I'll give it a shot anyways and hope that someone has. I am currently reading Sophie Kinsella's book, The Undomestic Goddess, and I have noticed that the main character in that book has a lot of similarities to Becky Bloomwood from the Shopaholic series also written by Sophie Kinsella. Does anyone agree with me?
