How can we manage our anger? precise and proper.. email this discussion to a friend?

I used to have a great outburst, and really i suffered from my impulse, when i got flared up, Some nasty words just go out freely in my mounth uncontrollably, I raised my voice. Mostly it happened with me and my wife. I hate it very much. And im deeply sorry afterwards, but the thing is damage was done. Does anyone could help me, or at least give me some advise about it. This will help many i suppose.

When someone gets angry, some of the methods adopted by people are:
1. Count from 100 to 1
2. Think of your most loved one
3. Do meditation
4. Listen to the music
5. Get out of the scene for a while
There are plenty of such things one can do to counter the anger. Never lose temper, because temper is valuable thing, keep it with you!!!

Thank you, You said to think my love one, hahaha did you know that my love one sometime start of me being angry, I really love my wife, but most of the times i just get angry, most of our conversation end up in fighting, which i didn't like. I tried to remain silent, but its like im like exploding. I hate it to be a jerk.

The root cause of our anger is our own unstable state of mind.

Thank you, how i wish i could apply it to myself, i agree that root cause is our unstable mind, but what about the root cause of our unstable mind, it will just gone to a loop of knowing the root cause.. But reality, before you figure out the root cause you just burst out in anger before you know it. And its too late to figure it out.

Not to get angry is actually a decision which you can always control. Many things may actually provoke you to become angry and have outburst but how to deal with it is something that you can always choose...to be angry or not to be angry. All things outside yourself you may not be able to control, but how you respond and what to do about how you feel is always controllable by you. So if someone provokes you in anger..just be cool and decide not to be angry and you wouldnt...

Maybe my problem is the way how can i control myself, the truth is i cannot control myself as far as outburst is concern, given a situation, i got flared up easily, and its too late, to found out, that what i did make sense. Who among us like the feeling of anger, i guess no one like it, or there are just few, in my case there always guilt, the funny thing is its recurring, No matter how i set and reset my minds, it goes over and over again, incrementing my guilty feelings.
