How much do you carry in your handbag?  

i always have my wallet, my phone, a lipgloss, tissues cause you never know when you might need them, gum cause the doctor says it`s good for your teeth and you should have one after each meal( i should know cause i am a dentist), i also have a little notebook and a pen..that`s about it

I carry a whole load of stuff in my handbag. I've had a look at it, and today it contains: A notebook and pen, receipts galore!, painkillers, Rescue Remedy, wallet, keys, lip balm and gloss, eyeliner, hairbrush, mirror, perfume, address book, plasters, mp3 player and spare batteries, and mobile phone. I have no idea how it all fits in!

I carry my make-up kit(pressed poweder, blush, lipstick, lipgloss, eyeliner, mascara and a shadow duo), car/home keys, eyeshades, small organizer, 2 pens, wallet, work ID, bottled water, tissues, hairbrush.

Shoes in your purse? How crazy is that?
I am a writer, so i carry around a notebook and a couple of pens (in case I get an idea!!)
Then the usual such as wallet, keys, lip gloss, phone, Mp3 and the like.
I guess the only other unusual stuff I carry around is my asthma inhaler and still I hate carrying around my purse cause it hurts my shoulder.

That is alot of stuff to carry. I just carry my wallet with my ID'S and money,checkbook.blistex,and a few personal items. I carry kind of a small purse.

so the answer is yes - I carry a LOT of stuff in my bag. I should add this is the bag I use mainly for work and it's a fairly big bag. I do clear it out from time to time but stuff just seems to accumulate again in no time at all.

I used to carry almost that much stuff, and a lot of things that are on your list. I had so much stuff in, my purse that the straps would make red marks on my shoulder. My purse weighed at least 8 to 10 pounds. I bet it weighed more than that. Well then I started carrying a little bag to carry into the store and left my purse in the car. It just seemed silly to do that, so I just left the giant heavy purse at home still filled with all of the things I felt was important, and only carried the little purse. I still do that to this day, and when I go to a friends house I carry them both. It looks funny, but one is for going to the store, and the other is for being at my friends homes, etc... Crazy, I think, but it makes me feel like I have everything I need. My friends make jokes about it.

Oh, I carry some of those junks in my bag, too. Ballpens, notebook, toilet paper, a spare shopping bag, umbrella, id cards, some pieces of paper, lots of cards, and some candies. I find some use for them whenever I go out someplace.

The trouble with me is that I hoard things (like pamphlets given out at shopping cnetres etc) and then have to make a special effort to clean out my bag, so I do carry a lot of unecessary junk that I shouldn't. A brush and perfume is probably unecessary too, but I do carry them around in my bag all the time. Also, instead of carrying the ONE lipstick, I end up carrying two or three. I don't really have room for a spare pair of shoes though!

Well, I carry what my friends consider a small handbag, but here is what is inside:
wallet, cell phone, everyday prescriptions, ibuprofen, extra lighter, lip balm, 3 or 4 pens, address book, contact eyedrops, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, mints and gum, rolaids, travel size deodorant, and perfume. That's it. It all fits in a very small sized purse. My friends carry books (novels), CDs, make-up, washcloths, pretty much everything but the kitchen sink... And I thought I was bad!
